I am a renewable energy engineer with a masters in electrical engineering specializing in Photovoltaics from the University of New South Wales in Australia, a bachelors in both Economics and electrical engineering from the University of Western Ontario.
I have owned and operated a renewable energy company in Trinidad and Tobago for over 10 years – Smart Energy Limited – www.ttsmartenergy.com and also managed a non-profit organization to promote environmental consciousness – WeGreenArmy.
I have mainly installed off grid PV systems. I worked on a 12 MW PV farm in Germany. I assembled and installed Solar Street lights on Tobago. I brought in the first Electric Vehicles (Tesla Model S and Model X) into the Caribbean. I conducted energy audits for General hospital and for a university for an IDB Project. Design, Built solar powered mobile phone charging station for UN Project and conducted several renewable energy education campaigns for Schools in the Caribbean and in USA.
I also teach electrical engineering subjects at the University of Trinidad and Tobago for 10 years.
